The AlternC control panel

Using a web browser, go to the URL of your server, if possible using the https (SSL) protocole.

The AlternC login page

Enter your username and password to log into the administrative interface.

Your browser must accept cookies during the session. (if you do not know what cookies are, this is probably not an issue)

You should now be connected to your AlternC account.

The control pannel is seperated into two spaces:

  • on the left side of the screen is the main navigation menu to the various options of the control panel,
  • on the right side of the screen displays, initially, the date of the last login as well as the IP of the person who last logged in.

The number of unsuccessful connections (a wrong password, for example) are mentioned as well. This way, you are informed of eventual attempts of other people who may have tried to break into your account. If this happens, contact your server administrator.

Your AlternC account provides you with a personal disk space on which you can host domains, sub-domains, FTP accounts, web statistics, etc. This space is in fact a folder on the server, in which you can store files, but also sub-folders, in order to better organise the available space.

The various functionalities accessible from the main navigation menu are presented in the following sections.

Note: Caution, the presentation of this control panel may vary from one hosting provider to another, depending on which of the many AlternC modules the host has activated.

  • todo: navigation, next?
